Medium or Vocal Media?
Writing is something that is pretty new to me. Well, apart from writing essays at university and writing my blog. I had no idea that you could make money from writing articles online until I saw a video by YouTuber Shelby Church about Medium. I was already writing on Wordpress and Tumblr and I had two degrees worth of essays that I could easily convert to articles, so I thought that I would give Medium a try.
I love Medium, it has a wonderful community of creative individuals, sharing their stories and experiences and I have come to find that I enjoy writing on Medium as much, if not more than I enjoy writing my blog.
Whilst reading an article here on Medium, the author stated that she also submitted content to a site called Vocal Media and so I thought that I may as well try that platform out also. However, there are a few differences between the two platforms.
Medium lets you post whatever you want and as many words as you want, whereas Vocal has a minimum word count of 600 words. On Medium, you have the option to submit your content to one of the many publications on the site. However, your story is not guaranteed to get accepted, unless you start your own publication of course. On Vocal, your story has to be submitted to a community in order for it to be published.
